Emily is a postulant for Holy Orders in The Episcopal Church. She is passionate about pastoral presence and acompañamiento, or walking alongside people in their faith journeys. She is trained in theology, creative writing, and gender studies and uses these lenses in her ministry, writing, and research. She is a candidate for an STM at Sewanee School of Theology, writing a thesis on liturgical diversity and lived religion in The Episcopal Church. Emily has an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and an MFA in creative writing from Old Dominion University.
